Resources for Finding Your Home In San Francisco

Finding a place to live in San Francisco can be difficult. If you are in need of a place to stay, we recommend that you talk to the Student Advisor of the housing options listed below. They can inform you of the various options on housing and how to find an appropriate place to live.

CCSF does not provide any on-campus housing/student dorms.

Please note that CCSF does not directly endorse nor recommend specific housing resources. This information is being provided for your convenience and while we strive to keep this information up-to-date, it may no longer be accurate. Please use caution when using services listed.

Housing Options

Homestay

This type of housing gives students the opportunity to observe and participate in an American household while staying with a family. As part of the household, students are usually included in family social activities, and may be expected to perform simple chores such as helping at mealtime, keeping their room clean, and doing their laundry. Students can learn more about American culture and are more easily immersed in life in the United States.

ROOMMATCH
RoomMatch's match-ups feature allows roommates who are looking for a room to “match up” with other potential roommates who may be interested in an entire place but would like a roommate to share the rent. Unlike other roommate finder apps, the unique roommate compatibility quiz asks the questions you wish you would have asked your last roommate before they moved in. Your answers are used to calculate your match percentage and find you the most compatible roommate.
