At CCSF, we believe learning never needs to stop. In both our credit and noncredit programs, we offer a variety of classes for you to learn new skills, make connections, and enrich your life. Open to everyone, choose from classes in the arts, culinary skills, English and world languages, fitness, gardening, computer skills, finances, humanities, and more.
CCSF's offers a range of noncredit classes to help you develop skills to improve your life. From English as a Second Language (ESL) to high school diploma programs to career and technical training, adult education courses are offered night and day at locations throughout the City. All noncredit classes at City College are free of charge, even if you’re not a San Francisco resident.
City College offers a full range of classes so you can learn a new craft or gain valuable life skills. Register for classes and workshops throughout the semester. Choose from classes such as art, language, cooking, writing, jewelry-making, retirement planning, bartending, personal trainer, fire safety and more. Classes are available at Downtown, John Adams, and Chinatown/North Beach Locations.
Each semester lifelong learners sit side-by-side our transfer and degree-seeking students to learn a new language, hone their computer skills, pursue their music hobby and more. Take one class or many — we are excited for you to join the City College community.
Learn to play an instrument or build on your current skills. The CCSF Music Department offers a diverse program of courses that reflects our cosmopolitan setting. In addition to a traditional core curriculum in Western music, courses are offered in African, Latin American, Asian, African-American, and electronic music.
The World Languages and Cultures Department offers a full schedule of courses in nine languages. From beginners to advanced, our language classes welcome all skill and interest levels. Our instructors are experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping you learn a language and gain cultural competency.
Our Physical Education department offers classes in a variety of fitness and exercise topics including aerobics, aquatics, judo, yoga, strength training, and more. Classes are led by well-trained instructors and included options for students of all ages and physical abilities.
Our Dance Activity Classes offer fun classes in a range of genres with options for all dance levels. During the classes, you will have the opportunity to learn and perform new dance techniques and choreography, explore the history and evolution of dance, and observe various intercollegiate and amateur dance performances and competitions.
The CCSF Art Department offers classes in both art history and studio arts. Painting, drawing, ceramics, illustration – whether it's your first art class or one of many, our instructors will help hone your creativity and develop new artistic skills.
Learn the foundations in garden planting and maintenance, prepare to install and maintain new gardens, and find out about the 150+ ornamental plants commonly used in the San Francisco Bay Area each season. Our Environmental Horticulture classes will help you develop & maintain your own landscapes while also deepen your appreciation for the nature around us.
