How to access Perkins/Strong Workforce Funds for Professional Development Activities

CCSF's Workforce Development Office maintains Perkins/Strong Workforce funds for the professional development of career education faculty, staff, and administrators.

Given the current budget constraints and resulting limits on travel, we strongly encourage faculty to take advantage of opportunities within the SF Bay Area. Requests for professional development outside the region will be extremely limited. These requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis, must be critical to your program's advancement (e.g. required by your accrediting agency/organization) and will be dependent on the approval of college leadership.

Please note: Faculty should submit applications at least 30 days in advance of the professional development activity. The Office of Career Education will respond to your request promptly and will award funds on a first-come, first-served basis. In 2023-24, funds may not be available after April 1, 2024 and activities must be completed by June 30, 2024. Thank you for keeping these deadlines in mind when requesting funds for your Spring Semester and/or June activities.

To apply, please visit the Career Education SharePoint site for Professional Development Application and Travel Guidelines.

The conference has been designed to promote interactive learning, build connections with peers, and provide opportunities to hear perspectives from other disciplines through interactive sessions, informative briefings, inspirational plenary presentations, and innovative opportunities to dig into pressing community college issues.

Join the Office of Student Equity (OSE), Adult Education Program (AEP) and Strong Workforce Program (SWP) as a member of a CCSF Cross-Functional Team. OSE, AEP & SWP will cover your registration fees.  Space is limited. Sign up HERE.
