Why attend the Digital Literacy workshops?
The Digital Literacy Workshop Series, offered by the CCSF Office of Online Learning & Educational Technology, is a free, hands-on learning experience for students who want to build confidence with the technology you need to succeed at CCSF.
Whether you're brand new to Canvas, struggling to submit assignments, or just want to get more comfortable with the tools your classes require, these workshops are designed for you.
What You'll Learn
Our ongoing workshop series covers the core digital skills you'll use throughout your time at CCSF:
- Canvas Navigation & Course Management - Learn how to log into Canvas, navigate your modules, and find your coursework each week.
- Submitting Assignments & Completing Coursework - How to submit assignments, post in discussions, take quizzes, and track your grades.
- Google Workspace Essentials - Get comfortable with Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar for organizing your work and communicating with instructors.
- Professional Communication & Research Skills - In collaboration with Rosenberg Library, learn how to use Canvas to reach out to instructors as well as accessing library resources for research.
Who Should Attend?
All CCSF students are welcome, no matter your experience level. Whether you're taking your first online class, returning to school after years away, or just want to brush up on your tech skills, these workshops are for you.
You don't need any prior tech experience. Everything is beginner-friendly and hands-on.
