Approved Collegewide Educational Technologies
Below is a list of approved educational technologies for in-person and online classrooms that support teaching and learning.
How are Collegewide Educational Technologies Reviewed and Approved?
The Teaching and Learning with Technology Roundtable (TLTR) endorsed the Educational Technology Lifecycle Review process in May 2025. This process highlights how educational technology needs are assessed, identifies appropriate stakeholders, how current educational technologies are reviewed and how current educational technologies are sunset or removed.
What about educational technologies that are used only in specific departments or courses? Department/course specific tools such as publisher LTIs must be reviewed by the Office of Online Learning and Educational Technology but may not need to go through a larger shared governance process.
Employees must use the following form to submit proposals for collegewide or department specific educational tools. The form is monitored year round.

Canvas (Instructure)
Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) for all classes at CCSF.
Learn more about Canvas in the Canvas Guides and Canvas Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
Canvas is fully funded by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office.
Google Workspace
CCSFmail (gmail) is the official student email account used at the City College of San Francisco, and this allows the use of collaboration tools such as Google Docs, and other office suite applications. As an employee, if you don't have a CCSFmail account, you can fill out a form to request an employee CCSFmail account which will give you access to these collaborative tools.
CityZoom at CCSF
On January 7th, 2021, IT migrated our CCCConfer Zoom account to CCSF's CityZoom, giving us more administrative control over our Zoom account for employees of CCSF. CityZoom is also the name of the Zoom integration in Canvas. Any Apps or Integrations added to CityZoom at the account level may influence how you use CityZoom in Canvas.
