The Office of Online Learning and the Educational Technology Department are here to support you in using Canvas as a tool to support your learning.
Going virtual doesn't mean you have to figure out everything on your own! Whether this is your first time using Canvas, or you've used Canvas a lot, you may have Canvas issues or questions that you need answered. We have support resources ready to connect you to the help you need, when you need it.
Visit our Canvas Student Support Center for Noncredit Students. Our noncredit resources include resources for ESL students:
Are you a New Student?
As a new student you will have some first steps to take to get ready for learning on Canvas.
Visit our Canvas Student Support Center for New Students for information about activating your student login and logging into Canvas for the first time:
If you are traveling out of the country, and can't access Canvas, there are a few areas where Canvas is completely inaccessible.
If you are having difficulty logging into Canvas, you can check if there is a RAMID portal outage. If you recently logged into Canvas using the Canvas Student App on a mobile device, you may still be able to use that method to access Canvas.
If Canvas is not working, or if it is behaving incorrectly, you can check to see if Canvas is experiencing a system outage or other critical issues. If you don't see any issues listed, you can try contacting the Canvas Support Hotline at +1-833-249-3993.
