If you are planning to use your GI Bill® / VA Educational Benefits at City College of San Francisco, you are required to meet with a CCSF Veterans Academic Counselor in Cloud 333.

Veterans Academic Counseling Hours for Spring 2021

(Dates & Times are subject to change without prior notification) 

Veterans Academic Counselors are available during the following hours

  • Early Start Drop In Start/End Date & Time

    • Starts January 8, 2021 
    • Ends January 13, 2021

    • Veterans Academic Counselor 1: 0800 - 1600

    • Veterans Academic Counselor 2: 0800 - 1400
  • Regular Spring 2021 Hours

    • Start January 19, 2021
    • Monday - Thursday: 0800 - 1600
    • Friday: 0800 - 1200

    Veteran and dependent students at CCSF looking to meet with a Veterans Academic Counselor can use the Veterans Academic Counseling Appointment/Drop-In Request Form to request an appointment or Drop-In time.     You need to bring a copy of the following to your counseling appointments:

    During the COVID-19 pandemic please email all documents to

    • DD214
    • Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or 1990 submitted application
    • Transcripts - at least an unofficial transcript(s) of all prior college-level coursework (pending official transcripts)

    This will allow the Veterans Academic Counselor to begin developing a Student Educational Plan (required by the DVA for certification) as well as account for previous coursework (also required by the federal regulations of the Dept. of Veteran Affairs), pending the receipt of official transcripts.
