CCSF now offers noncredit classes in English as Second Language (ESL)

Registration is Open!

First, apply to CCSF. After receiving your student ID# starting with an @, W, or WA, please use our self-guided placement tool to find your noncredit ESL level before meeting with a counselor. 

Noncredit Courses
  • Are tuition-free
  • Are repeatable (open entry and open exit)
  • Require proof of California Residency
  • Will prepare you to achieve academic, career, or lifelong learning goals
  • Will help prepare you for success in college-level work
Who should take noncredit classes? 
  • Noncredit courses are zero-unit courses offered to students who are 18 years of age or older.
  • Current High School Student, a minor who has permission from the local high school and a legal guardian. 

Note: Students who hold F1 Visas will connect with the CCSF Office of International Programs to learn more.

  • Apply to CCSF, the examiner will greet you and check your valid ID along with your CCSF ID Number.
  • No appointments are necessary.
  • Mask is required, and we can only serve up to five students at a time.
