The World Languages and Cultures Department offers a full schedule of courses in nine languages. All are transferable to the California State University system and most are transferable to the University of California system. Our instructors are experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping you learn a language and and gain cultural competency.
Our students come from all walks of life and represent many age groups; high school students, college students with the goal of transferring to a 4-year institution, working adults, veterans, and retired professionals. You will be welcomed in our classes!
Students may complete a Major or a Certificate of
Accomplishment in many languages. Please see the individual
language pages for details.
Classes are offered day, evening, and Saturdays at several CCSF locations in the hope you will find a section that fits in to your demanding schedule.

Collaboratory Mac Lab
Students can access their audio and digital course materials in the
Media Center/Collaboratory (Rosenberg Library 403). 38 Macs with high
speed internet connection, international character input, and an MS
Office Suite are available.
