Mission
The mission of the African American Resource Center (AARC) is to provide safe, comfortable community spaces for studying and connecting with others while serving as a one-stop hub for an academic, community, cultural, and school engagement.
The AARC exists to affirm, empower, and uplift African American, Black, and Caribbean (ABC) students by providing a hub for academic support, cultural and community activities, personal and emotional wellness, and creative expression.
Vision of the African American Resource Center
The AARC seeks to honor the richness of black identity in all its forms while fostering spaces of safety, joy, and transformation: intellectual, academic, spiritual, artistic, and communal. Through advocacy, mentorship, and healing-centered engagement, the Center aspires to cultivate a campus where black students can thrive unapologetically.
