HLTH 5900: Preparation for the Community Health Worker Field is a noncredit class that starts on September 29th and remains open for enrollment through December 22, 2026. The class includes support for English Language Learners (ELL). 

Students will learn public health concepts, models for providing person-centered services, and explore professional roles that Community Health Workers play in health and social services in our community. Students who successfully complete HLTH 5900 can enroll into the credit HLTH 201 to start the CHW Certificate Program.
