The Communication Lab is open for the Spring 2026 semester. Visit the Communication Lab in Cloud 208 B for support in crafting and delivering speeches.

• April 6th-8th, 2026 (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday)

Services We Provide

The Communication Lab offers one-on-one tutoring, workshops and study groups. Visit anytime during our open hours to get help with the following:

• selecting the right topic for the right speech
• crafting a clear thesis statement that fits the purpose of the speech
• organizing and developing a speech outline
• writing the most effective introductions and conclusions
• creating and using visual aids
• researching a speech topic
• practicing all aspects of delivery from eye contact to the use of note cards

Policies

• When you arrive, please quickly sign-in by using the MY CCSF app to scan a QR code. Alternatively, you can sign-in with your Student ID # on a lab computer
• Bring assignment rubrics and instructions provided by your instructor or pull up the assignment in Canvas on a lab computer
• Drop-ins will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Tutors do not proofread outlines for grammar; they address issues related to the speech writing process
• Verification of your visit to the lab can be provided for your instructor upon request
