Internet Basics & Begin HTML

Students become critical participants on the Internet and World Wide Web, analyzing methods of using the Internet, and its history, technical underpinnings, and protocols. Create Web content and learn skills for effective online communication through technologies and tools, including electronic mail, connecting to remote computers, file transfer, and the World Wide Web. Delve into the complex worlds of computer security, copyright, electronic commerce, and artificial intelligence as it is implemented in modern Internet tools.

Construction Project Admin.

Principles and practical applications of construction project administration with an emphasis on construction-phase services. Topics include: an overview of project administration throughout the phases of a construction project; the contractual and regulatory environment of construction projects; the development of a project procedures manual; computer-based project administration.

Early Childhood Curriculum

Appropriate curriculum and environments for children from birth to age 8. Teachers' roles in supporting development and joy of learning for all children using observation and assessment and emphasizing the essential role of play through language, literacy, social/emotional learning, physical/motor activity, sensory learning, art, creativity, math, and science.

Orientation to ECE

Theoretical perspectives & historical contexts of developmentally-appropriate practices applied to environments & programs for children from birth through age eight. Examines the role of relationships, constructive adult-child interactions, & teaching strategies in supporting development across all domains for all children, including those from diverse backgrounds (culture, learning styles, special needs). Evolution of professional practices promoting advocacy, ethics, and professional identity.
