The program prepares students to work as registered nurses. Upon
completion, the graduate will receive an Associate Degree in Nursing.
The graduate is entitled to take the California State Board of Registered
Nursing licensing exam.
The program offers a series of courses that combine academic classes on campus, skills practice in the nursing skills laboratory, and patient care experience in various hospitals and facilities in the San Francisco area. Click here for a description of the courses required.
The purpose of City College of San Francisco Registered Nursing Program is to recruit, counsel and prepare qualified people in the San Francisco Bay Area to function effectively at an entry level registered nursing position.
- As of March 2019 CCSF Registered Nursing Program will no longer accept applications twice a year.
- Applications will be accepted once a year in January 20 -February 20 for the Fall and Spring Semester.
