Section Notes

This is an online class with an in-person final exam. The final exam will take place on July 30 from 8-9:30 am on the Ocean Campus. All other coursework besides the final exam is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 8 weeks long that begins on June 8. Enrollment in BIO 121-961 is limited to students in the Culinary Arts program. BIO 121 is an online course with a 30-minute Zoom orientation held on June 8th at 1:00 pm. The Zoom link will be provided on Canvas on June 8th. Students unable to make the orientation must arrange to meet with the Culinary Department advisor, Ms. Shea, for information about the course and program. Students remaining in the Culinary Program will be required to become a certified food safety manager. Options for obtaining that certification will be provided to enrolled students. Students will complete all coursework in Canvas, which requires an internet-enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and lasts 8 weeks. Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) hardware and software operations and their applications in drafting; basic shape description, display, editing, dimensioning and plotting. CAD 181 is taught partially synchronously using Canvas. An in-person midterm and final exam is required for all students. The midterm exam will be held on June 27 and the final exam on July 18. Section Notes

Physical/sensory-motor, social-emotional, and cognitive/language development of the prenatal period throughout the first three years will be studied with an emphasis on interactions between genetic and environmental factors. Brain development research and major developmental theories are the guiding principles for practice. Caring adults as a foundation for all development will be emphasized. PREREQ.: CDEV 53; CDEV 65; CDEV 66; CDEV 67; This class meets 6 Mondays from 4:10 - 8:20 for lecture/course content: June 15, 22, 29, and July 6, 13, 20, 27. Attendance at all class lectures and 81 Practicum hours are required to earn grade. Both Lecture and Practicum time required: To earn 3 units student must schedule a practicum of 81 hours of fieldwork in approved ECE sites. Students must be working at a licensed site, obtain a TB clearance and pertussis and measles vaccines to work with children. Proof of influenza vaccine or statement declaring you decline to take the influenza vaccine also required.
