Catalog Description
Mastery of the research, organization, and delivery of extemporaneous speeches. Focus on rhetorical theory, listening, audience analysis, speech construction, and use of evidence, language, and presentation aids.
Section Notes
This class requires use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. Students will complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device with a camera and microphone. Students will also arrange times to meet via Zoom with the instructor and/or fellow classmates to present speeches. This class is part of CityOnline and is 8 weeks.
