Associated Students Book Voucher Program (Formerly AS Book Loan Program) - Now Open for Fall 2026

The Associated Student Council of Ocean Campus operates the A.S. Book Voucher program (formerly known as the A.S. Bookloan Program) to help CCSF students cover the cost of textbooks required for their courses. This program is funded by the $7 Student Activity Fee.

Timeline

  • Book Voucher Application Opens: August 10th
  • Applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. 
  • The application will close on November 20th, 2026 or before that date whenever funds run out. 
  • Students must spend their book voucher by November 30th 2026.

Participation Guidelines:

  • Students enrolled in 3 to 11.5 credit units may be eligible for a $100 voucher
  • Students enrolled in 12+ credit units may be eligible for a $200 voucher
  • This voucher is to help students cover the cost of textbooks. You may only purchase textbooks with this voucher.
  • If you are receiving a Book Voucher from another Resource Center/Program, we ask that you consider not applying for this voucher unless you need the voucher to meet your textbook needs.

Additional Information

  • Funds received from the voucher will be credited to students' CCSF bookstore accounts (www.bkstr.com/ccsfstore/home). These funds may only be used to purchases textbooks for courses that the student is currently enrolled in for the Fall 2026 semester.

Priority students are students who participate on one of the Associated Students identified priority programs:

  • African American Resource Center (services for Black and African American
    students)
  • City DREAM (services for undocumented students/ Mixed Status and all students
    affected by immigration/citizenship issues)
  • DSPS (Disabled Students Programs & Services, services for disabled students)
  • Family Resource Center (services for student parents)
  • Guardian Scholars (services for current or former foster youth)
  • HARTS (Homeless At-Risk Transitional Students, services for students experiencing or at risk of housing insecurity)
  • Office of International Programs (services for students who are F-1 visa holders)
  • Queer Resource Center (services for LGBTQI+ students)

Priority students must attest to their participation in a qualifying program at the time of application.

All students enrolled in classes are eligible to for the voucher program. If you do not qualify as a priority student, you may apply for the book voucher as soon as the application opens to all students.

Academic holds are placed when a student fails to return all materials by the due date. Often a textbook is returned, but not a study guide or workbook. If you have a bookloan related hold, please email [email protected].
