This course teaches techniques used by attackers to breach Web applications and how to prevent security attacks. Topics include how to secure and manage assets such as authentication systems, access controls, databases, and back-end components, and how to protect users from attackers, including identifying common vulnerabilities in compiled code and source code.

In-depth course in information security, including access control, application security, enterprise continuity, cryptography, technical risk management, physical security, and telecommunications and network security. This course supports preparation for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential, which is essential for high-level information security professionals.

Supervised on- or off-campus work involving computer use. Internships are joint ventures between institutions or companies and the Computer Networking and Information Technology Department. Students must be employed in any area including, but not limited to, help desk, hardware technician, networking technician, system administration, internet, web development, or computer operation. One unit of credit is earned for 54 hours of unpaid or paid work.

Studies the rhetorical tradition and significant rhetorical artifacts. Analyzes public discourse through the application of rhetorical methods. Communication artifacts are evaluated for support, reasoning, language use, message construction, and context in a series of academic research papers. Emphasizes critical thinking principles alongside techniques of effective discourse.

Development of speaking and argumentation skills through participation in intercollegiate speech and debate tournaments. Course repetition allows mastery of communication skills through the recursive process of researching, writing, practicing, and delivering speeches.

Critical approaches to social, legal, and political problems are studied through oral argument and debate. Analysis, evidence, reasoning, ethics, rhetorical power and persuasion from a communication studies perspective.

Introduction to the selection, applicability, and purpose of the different documents used in the Engineering and Construction Project Management Process. Theoretical concepts and practical applications including pre-construction, meetings, submittals, site visits, observations, inspections, quality assurance, and quality control.

Overview of Building Industry projects and lessons learned. Provides more real-life experiences about professional roles, skills and responsibilities, career opportunities, and higher education pathways.

Introduction to basic graphic and communication skills and knowledge required to effectively read and use drawings in the construction industry. Analysis of drawings in the civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical fields and their relationship to construction planning and estimating. Material quantity surveying. Freehand sketching.

Principles and practical applications of construction project administration with an emphasis on construction-phase services. Topics include: an overview of project administration throughout the phases of a construction project; the contractual and regulatory environment of construction projects; the development of a project procedures manual; computer-based project administration.
