Fashion Merch Internship

Experience in the Fashion industry through merchandising, styling, buying, or marketing positions. Students will intern with local employers to gain meaningful work experience. Provides practical experience in the retail/wholesale environments. Emphasis will be placed on the role of fashion in the workplace. One unit of credit is earned for 54 hours of paid or unpaid work.

Intro to Asian Am Studies

This introductory Ethnic Studies course explores experiences of Asian American communities from the 19th century to the present. Students examine historical and current Asian American issues, using frameworks including Critical Race Theory, analyzing race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic class, labor, national origin, mixed heritages, religion/spirituality, generation, and ability, colonialism, decolonization, immigration, activism and resistance.

Introduction to GIS

As an introduction to Geographic Information Science (GIS) and related technologies, this course reviews the history, structure, uses, and current trends in GIS. Special attention is given to related fundamental geographic concepts, basic spatial querying, and cartography operations using industry-standard ESRI's ArcGIS software.
