Work Experience: Off-Campus

Work experience education course designed for students who may not yet have selected a specific occupational goal but who are presently employed off campus. Through supervised employment, students can increase their workplace success by undertaking new or expanded responsibilities at their jobs and acquiring improved work habits and career-related skills. One unit of credit is earned for 54 hours of unpaid or paid work.

Adv MedSurg and CHN

This course explores theoretical content and clinical practices with a focus on current therapeutic treatment modalities and nursing management for advanced medical/surgical patients, including studies of cancers, burns, shock, leadership, and management, as well as heart, respiratory, neurological, and renal failure. Community health nursing involves topics such as home health care, long-term care, rehabilitative and hospice care, as well as disaster nursing.
