Intro to Kinesiology

An introduction to the field of kinesiology, focusing on the study of human movement and its various subdisciplines. Students will explore the fundamental principles of kinesiology, physical education, principles of physical activity and fitness, and professional career options within the field. The course is designed to be informative for individuals considering career opportunities in kinesiology, physical education, health, wellness, physical activity, and sport.

Practical Experience in PE

Practical professional experiences related to the field of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Students complete an unpaid internship with a CCSF intercollegiate sports team to gain meaningful work experience and earn credit towards their Athletic Coaching and/or Personal Training Certificate of Achievement. Students will be exposed to the practical application and responsibilities of coaching and personal training through observation and hands-on training. One unit of credit is earned for 54 hours of unpaid or paid work.
