Human Sexuality

A human sexuality course that integrates content and methodology from the disciplines of biology, ethics, health education, history, jurisprudence, LGBTQI+. women and gender studies, psychology, and social justice. Covers the anatomical, physiological and psychological stages of development across the life span, including the role of gender, patterns of sexual arousal and response, and the paraphilias.

Health and Social Justice

Explore the role of social injustices as root causes of the uneven distribution of health and disease according to class, race and gender. Examination of current issues, the process for influencing change, and the role of social movements in creating more healthy and equitable communities. Students will also build their skills to effectively advocate for health and social justice.
