Critical importance of safety and hybrid-unique equipment and procedures. Maintenance procedures and diagnostic and repair processes for common electrified vehicles (Toyota, Chevy, Nissan and Ford) taught in detail.

Ethnic Studies introduction to diverse U.S. Southeast Asian American experiences including Burmese, Cambodian, Filipino/a/x, Hmong, Indonesian, Lao, Mien, Mong, Thai and Vietnamese American communities. Exploring lived realities and struggles including historic and contemporary lives, cultural traditions, U.S. colonialism and neocolonialism, immigrants and refugees, racism, family, community, political, social heritage through the lens and scholarship of Asian American Studies.

Introduces cultural anthropology through the focus on cultures in the United States. The course also investigates aspects of the sociocultural structures of the United States such as inequality, power, race/ethnicity, kinship, gender, and globalization. Ethnographic studies, history, literature, film, and music are used to illustrate the ways that people living in the United States negotiate cultural values and confront social conflict.

Utilizes ethnic studies methodologies and critical race theory to explore the history of race theory and racism in the United States from early antecedents in antiquity through the emergence of modern race theory and racism in the 18th and 19th centuries to the present. Also includes the ways that race theory has shaped intellectual discourse and popular consciousness.

Keyboarding skill development on computer keyboard with associated software, emphasizing proper technique to develop speed and accuracy. Drills target individual student deficiencies. Development of proper touch control of the entire computer keyboard (including alphabetic, number, and symbol keys; numeric keypad) with proper use of the Space Bar, Enter, Tab, and Shift keys.

A beginning level keyboarding course designed to build effective keyboarding skills with an emphasis on building correct touch-typing techniques for alphanumeric, symbol, and punctuation keys. A foundation for keyboarding speed and accuracy is developed and proofreader's marks are introduced. Successful completion of this class results in a minimum keyboarding speed of 20 net words per minute on a five-minute timed writing with 90% accuracy.

Second of a series of three conversational courses in Japanese. The course offers intensive oral practice of basic structures and vocabulary most often used in conversation and is designed for students who wish to further acquire basic skills of spoken Japanese.

Explores the relationship between policy, the built urban environment and health. Survey current policy issues in urban community health and the process for influencing policy. Develop skills to serve as an effective advocate for policy change and community health.
