1,912 Associate Degree Graduates during 2018-2019
Dear CCSF Colleagues:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Academic Senate and Faculty and the Classified Staff and Administration, I congratulate the Class of 2019 of City College of San Francisco. Our graduates join over 30,000 alumni of CCSF throughout the world.
Every commencement is an opportunity to express pure joy and celebrate the achievement of our students. This commencement is particularly special because of the growing size of the graduation class, 466 more graduates than last year.
And that’s not all, we are also graduating 1,191 recipients of certificates of completion, including workforce career training certificates. That is up a remarkable 477 total certificates in a single year!
Taken together, the Class of 2019 comprises 3,103 graduates and certificate recipients. City College is growing. The American Dream is alive and well here. As I have often said during my rounds of all the wonderful commencement events and ceremonies, we are so blessed to have the best work in the world.
It is time for me to pause and give thanks to each of you. Thanks to your hard work we have had an extraordinarily successful year in the service of our students. Tomorrow we will enjoy the privilege of sharing in the reward of seeing our students cross the stage in front of family and friends as they receive their college degrees.
