San Francisco, CA – City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is pleased to announce that the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) has reaffirmed the College’s accreditation, with the next comprehensive review scheduled for Spring 2030.
This decision acknowledges the College’s meaningful progress in addressing areas of
noncompliance related to financial decision-making and Board governance. In their notice, the ACCJC wrote, in part, that: “The Commission finds that City College of San Francisco has addressed the compliance requirements, corrected deficiencies, and meets Standards III.D.11, IV.C.7, and IV.C.12.”
“We are proud of the work we have done to earn this reaffirmation,” said Mitchell Bailey, CCSF Interim Chancellor. “While we recognize the progress made—particularly in strengthening financial practices and Board engagement—we also know that maintaining accreditation requires ongoing vigilance and alignment with good governance standards.”
The College remains committed to providing accessible, high-quality education while strengthening its institutional foundations to better serve San Francisco’s students for generations to come.
