Mathematics Department Speaker Series: Environmental Data Analysis
We are honored to host former CCSF student Frank Gama (UCSB, LEAF Lab) and Senior Data Scientist Brookie Guzder-Williams (Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science & Environment). In this talk, you'll learn about the kinds of problems that environmental data scientists work on and the techniques used, and you'll follow the journey of a former CCSF student from studying Data Science to working on geospatial and data-driven analysis of wildfire recovery in the Sierra Nevada.
Refreshments will be provided.
