Black History Month Events: Black History 101 Mobile Museum Join Dr. Khalid el-Hakim for a dynamic and visually engaging lecture that commemorates a century of Black History, Pride, and Progress. Drawing from his award-winning Black History 101 Mobile Museum, which features over 15,000 original artifacts, Dr. el-Hakim highlights stories of struggle, creativity, and resilience from 1926, when Dr. Carter G. Woodson founded Negro History Week, to the present. Through engaging storytelling and original historical objects, this presentation explores how African Americans have continually shaped the moral, cultural, and political fabric of the nation. Blending scholarship and lived experience, Dr. el-Hakim invites audiences to reflect on the enduring spirit of resilience that defines the African American journey.
