Working Adult Degree Program

Balance work, life, and school!

WADP is designed to make college more accessible and manageable. WADP supports students who are working full time, are parents, and/or have other commitments during the day. WADP students are part of a transformative learning community that is supportive and committed to their success.

Take your skills to the next level. It’s never too late!

  • Expand your options for professional advancement at your current job or new field.
  • Acquire new knowledge, and build on your experience.
  • Make new professional connections with other WADP students who are also professionals (most of whom already work in social services).
  • Serve as a role model for your family and community.

Degrees

Eligibility: WADP may be right for you if:

  • You want an Associate Degree in the Liberal Arts and/or want to fulfill general requirements for transferring to a 4-year university.
  • You can identify at least 3 classes you need from our pre-selected WADP courses.
  • You can commit to taking a minimum of one WADP class per semester and avoid taking classes outside of the program that WADP offers.
  • You have no college credits or have fewer than 60 units.
  • You need an evening and weekend schedule.
  • You want structure, program support, and collaboration with other students.
  • You are determined to pursue your education.

Supportive Services

  • Learning Community—start and complete with students who are also working adults.
  • Progressive tracking—proactive check-ins with students throughout the semester via phone, emails, and in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Dedicated Tutors for social sciences, English, and math.
