Instructor Bio

I began teaching at City College in 2010 in the Mathematics department, after spending a year at Santa Rosa Junior College as an adjunct. I have taught a variety of classes here but often teach statistics and discrete mathematics.

I live with my wife, Molly Bloom, and our two boys Atticus (~9 years) and Riyaz (~6 years), and our cat Rosie, in our home in Bayview. I used to primarily get to school on the 23 or 44/49 bus routes, but now mostly drive after dropping the kids off at school.

Outside of spending time with my family, I enjoy being active in my children's schools, skateboarding, being politically active, listening to Giants games on the radio, working on my house, and weeding.
