Catalog Description
Designed to explore the complexities of health and health care, and provides a learning laboratory for collaboration and innovation, breaking the isolation in the work of interpreters. Students will be equipped with 21st-century skills in managing the interpreting session while learning about advances in medicine. All are welcome to join in this learning collaborative aiming towards advancing patient and family-centered care. Healthcare interpreter CEUs for eligible participants.
Section Notes
This class requires live online meetings and the use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. Students who miss the first live synchronous Zoom session will be dropped from the course. Live online meetings require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 4 weeks.
