An in-depth history of the United States since 1900, with emphasis on the more important political, economic, social, artistic, and cultural aspects of American life and on the role of the United States in world affairs.

This class is part of CityOnline and has a shorter semester (16 Weeks). HIST 1-Sec 961 has TWO scheduled IN-PERSON meetings- one for the Midterm on THURSDAY 3/19 from 6:10-8:30 pm and one for the Final on THURSDAY 5/14 from 6:10-9:30 pm. All other meetings are online and require the use of Canvas. All coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device. This section uses open educational resources.
