Catalog Description
Acquaints student with historical and current trends, issues in nursing practice, and the concept of professional development. Emphasis placed on legal and ethical aspects of nursing and the California Board of Registered Nursing Practice Act. Students examine contemporary issues that affect the practice of registered nursing.
Section Notes
This class requires in-person, live online meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meeting information (meeting days, times, location) will be announced on the first day of class. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. Live online meetings require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. This class is part of the Registered Nursing Program.
