Catalog Description
Special sewing techniques for garments made from knitted fabrics, such as t-shirts, pants, and activewear. Pattern modifications for stretch knits. Students will construct garments while learning how to work with knitted fabrics, including ribbed finishes, elastic edgings, and special seam types.
Section Notes
This class requires two in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesday 2/4 and 2/18 from 1:10 – 5:15 pm at the Chinatown/North Beach Campus in Room A404. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 8 weeks.
