Catalog Description
Emphasis on the practical application of nutrition to everyday life such as planning a healthy diet, assessing one's nutritional food intake, understanding nutritional labels and useful sources for nutrition information. Scientific principles behind the development of Dietary Reference Intakes (DRls) and Food Guidelines.

This course is part of CityOnline, with no in-person meetings. Coursework is completed via Canvas using an internet-enabled device. WileyPLUS for Visualizing Nutrition: Everyday Choices (5th Edition) is required. All students are automatically enrolled in Follett Access via Canvas, which provides WileyPLUS for $65 (billed to their student account). Do not purchase a PDF or used textbook.
