Catalog Description
This course explores healthcare quality and emerging pay-for-performance reimbursement methodologies. Analyzes the complexities of quality, the measurement and improvement of quality, and explores measures from a variety of organizations and comparison sites. Introduction to key theories and concepts, models of quality improvement as the basis for improved outcomes and reimbursement.

This class requires live online meetings and the use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. Live online meetings require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 17.5 weeks.
