Catalog Description
This course allows students to review their knowledge of microbiology, disease transmission, and altering resistance to infection. Studies include but are not limited to preventive dentistry, nutrition, application of skills necessary for a preventive therapist, oral pathological conditions, use of drugs and dental therapeutics related to dental office emergencies, and California RDA law and ethics.

This course is a tech-enhanced course and requires the use of Canvas. Some coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet-enabled device. This course is part of the Dental Assisting Program and cannot be taken as a separate course. You must apply to the program first.
