Catalog Description
Development of Western Civilization from ancient times through the Reformation. The emergence of civilization in the Near East; Greek and Roman civilizations, development of Christianity, Byzantine, and Islamic influences, the Middle Ages, and the intellectual and religious changes of the Renaissance and Reformation.

This class is part of CityOnline and has a shorter semester (16 Weeks). HIST 4A-Sec 961 has TWO scheduled IN-PERSON meetings- one for the Midterm 6:10-8:30 pm and one for the Final from 6:10-9:30 pm. (see schedule for dates). All other meetings are online and require the use of Canvas. All coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device. This section uses open educational resources. All required readings and materials are available at no cost online in Canvas.
