Catalog Description
Introduction to the professional field of illustration. Instruction focuses on principal areas within the field, such as editorial, fashion, fantasy, and scientific illustration, exploring their history, professional standards, practices, and current trends. Students will explore and apply a range of dry and wet media techniques, developing critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills in the process.

This class requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meeting information (meeting days, times, location) is in the class schedule.
