Catalog Description
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation. This course introduces students to the principles, processes, and tools of design thinking, an approach to solving complex problems. Students will explore how to empathize with users, ideate creative solutions, prototype innovations, and test them in real-world contexts. Through hands-on projects and collaborative exercises, students will develop critical skills in innovation, creativity, and user-centered design.

This class requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meeting information (meeting days, times, location) is in the class schedule. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks.
