Catalog Description
An examination of ecological issues surrounding agriculture. Analysis of ecosystem services (benefits) provided by sustainable agriculture. Evaluation of different farming methods practiced on local urban farm and how this may relate to personal food choices.
Section Notes
BIO 21J: Agroecology is taught on two consecutive Saturdays (September 12th and September 19th) from 8:30am - 3:34pm each day. Transportation is not provided to field sites. A mandatory on-campus orientation meets on Monday, August 31st from 6:10 - 9:00pm in STEAM 204. Location of course destination will be discussed at the orientation meeting.
