Overview

CCSF building roofs are of a variety of architectural styles and ages. Roof replacements have not been systematically planned or funded, and there is a backlog of roofs that require attention. The backlog is significant enough that some roofs that should be replaced may be nursed along with repairs for additional years, while funding is identified. Some roofs on buildings potentially slated for demolition, per the developing Facilities Master Plan, will be nursed along with repairs or short-term roof replacements while awaiting demolition.

The goal of this initiative is to enable CCSF to administer a variety of roofing remedies through a single multi-year, unit-price based roofing repairs and replacement contract.

The scope includes developing, bidding and awarding a unit-price based roofing contract, and implementing a variety of roof repairs and/or replacements using currently available funds.
