Weight, Strength, and Interval Training
Learn the fundamental techniques for effective weightlifting and strength building. The CCSF Weightroom is equipped with free weights, life fitness strength machines, bench presses, treadmills, squat rack, leg presses, and a rope machine.
The weight room is used for CCSF classes and CCSF Athletic teams. It is also open on a drop in basis for students enrolled in one of the following classes:
- PE 214A Beginning Weight Training
- PE 214B Intermediate Weight Training
- PE 215A Beg. Strength & Interval Training
- PE 215B Int. Strength & Interval Training
- CCSF Extension Courses
At CCSF, you may only take a course ONCE. If you have already taken PE 214A or B, you will need to sign up for PE 215 A or B for credits. Alternatively, you may sign up through CCSF Extension for zero credits.
Yes, it is designed for drop-in attendance, the computer will keep track of your visits.
You may sign up for PE 215A or B. Or you may also sign up for the weight room through Continuing Education.
No, all students must be enrolled in one of the following classes to use the weightroom, (PE 214A or B and 215A or B)
Unfortunately, we do not offer personal training services. However, there is an instructor on duty who would be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. We also have many resources available that should help you get started.
