Bicycle Maintenance

Course in basics of bicycle and electric bicycle (e-bike) repair and maintenance. Students will learn how to perform maintenance tasks such as repairing flat tires, adjusting derailleurs, chain adjustment, basic electric system safety procedures, troubleshooting and inspection. Rebuilding of the wheel, front fork, and bottom bracket bearings will be covered. Braking systems inspection, maintenance and repair, frame inspection, wheel-building/truing, and electric bike servicing will also be covered. The emphasis of this course is on "hands on" implementation and practice, but "soft skills" of customer relations, vital for consumer-facing businesses, will also be covered in depth.
