A survey of designed interiors and their components including architecture, furniture, art, and decorative art, emphasizing the formation of architecture and interiors throughout history and around the world. The course focuses on the ways in which material and social culture have influenced the developments and stylistic characteristics of interiors over time in order to establish a knowledge base of design history to inform design solutions.
