On Thursday, July 28, 2022, Mayor London Breed declared a local health emergency regarding the city's monkeypox cases. Yesterday, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for California based on the evolving monkeypox situation in California.
City College will continue to monitor the situation very closely and communicate information that is provided by state and local health officials. At this time, the college will follow Administrative Procedure 2.23, Communicable Disease, Section F as it outlines the steps for communicating information regarding emerging infectious diseases.
In the meantime, CCSF will remain open, providing instructional and student support services at the Ocean Campus and the Centers. Check the Student Health Services website for more information.
