Speaker: Olga Galvez, Disabled Students Programs and Services Department
Making Space for Everyone
Olga Galvez currently serves as the Department Chair for Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) at CCSF. She has dedicated her career to advancing awareness and understanding of the barriers created for people with disabilities, as well as to removing those barriers to develop equitable learning spaces that are inclusive of all abilities. Olga has worked as a health educator for Spanish speaking families of Deaf teens, as a tri-lingual interpreter (American Sign Language/English/Spanish), as a mental health counselor, as a vocational counselor for individuals with disabilities, and as a DSPS Counselor at CCSF. She holds an AA from CCSF, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Studies from CSU Northridge, and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling (with specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing population) from San Francisco State University.
