The screenshot above shows a list of existing Evaluation Methods for a given course.
- Click on the blue banner to edit an existing evaluation method.
- Click on the X at the right edge of a blue banner to delete an evaluation method from the list.
- Click on the up and down arrows at the right edge of a blue banner to move an evaluation method up and down in the listed order.
- Click on Add New Item to add another evaluation method.
The screenahor above shows the fields that you will enter when creating a new evaluation method or editing an existing one.
1. From the Evaluation Method drop-down menu, choose the appropriate category for this particular evaluation method.
2. In the Evaluation Description box, provide a detailed description of this evaluation method (see notes below for suggestions).
3. Click Save (if new) or Update (if updating an existing item).
The screenshot above shows your list of assignments. Use the arrow buttons on the right to change the order of this list.
Curriculum Committee Notes
- If you assign it, it is usually expected to be evaluated. If not, the Committee will ask why not.
- Choose most appropriate evaluation type from the drop-down menu for each of your evaluation listings.
- All credit courses must have a final of some type: exam, project, paper, etc. Put the final description on its own line, and be sure to choose Final Assessment from evaluation type menu.
Here is an example linked to the Assignments example above:
- Participation: Participation in and/or evaluations of in-class critiques, research projects, and/or problem solving
- Written work: Written essays or research paper as described above in which students demonstrate their ability to interpret primary and secondary sources.
- Written work: Completion of weekly homework questions described above
