Instructor Bio

Women’s and Gender Studies faculty Shella Muzelle Cervantes (They/Them) currently teaches the dual enrollment Project SURVIVE Classes at Mission High School. Previous courses taught include College Success, Human Sexuality, Diversity: Ageism & Adultism, Diversity: Ableism, & Intro to Womens Studies. In 2025, they were awarded the 2024-2025 Stanback Stroud Diversity Award. This prestigious award acknowledges an individual or group that is exceptional in contributing to the advancement of intercultural harmony, equity, and campus diversity at their college.
