Instructor Bio

I have been a full-time instructor at City College for over 20 years. Before teaching, I worked in corporate communications for Bank of America, and advertising at Young & Rubicam/SF—additionally I worked for Michelfelder Design Group in Palo Alto and ran my own design/illustration studio. I continue to do design and illustration projects when not teaching.

My interests include underwater basket weaving, eating dangerously under-cooked roadkill, and reading Little Lulu comic books backwards. While City College keeps me as busy as a kid in a candy factory, I occasionally find time to visit various restaurants to document their food safety score.

I love animals, but mice make me go berserk. If I lose control after seeing a mouse, you can calm me down by giving me a whiff of Limburger cheese.
