Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education
The EOPS Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is one of the special services provided to eligible EOPS students. Eligibility for the CARE program is determined by state EOPS and CARE criteria. Students eligible for CARE services must also be eligible for EOPS and meet all of the additional CARE criteria:
- Must be an EOPS student
- Must be a single head of household who has been determined by the State Department of Social Services to lack marketable employment skills
- Must be receiving TANF/CalWORKs (formerly AFDC) county cash aid for self or child(ren)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have at least one dependent under 14 years of age
EOPS' CARE program provides additional counseling, food card services, educational grants (dependent upon available funding), workshops and other services to eligible CARE students.
